The Way of Joy Canteen

After many difficulties the Children’s Canteen opened on 30^th January, 2007. 

The Canteen has the capacity to serve 60 meals per day six days a week but lack of funds has so far prevented this.

The Canteen continues to serve meals to the most needy children. Although the number of children eating at the Canteen has dropped the number of meals has increased. This is because many of the families live too far away. In these cases a Parent or older child makes the journey several times a week to collect the food.

Our ultimate goal has always been to serve 60 children, 6 days per week. The Canteen has the capacity to do this and there is no shortage of hungry children.
